Alec Baldwin and Wife Hilaria Seen in First Red Carpet Appearance Following Shooting Trial

In his first red carpet appearance since the dismissal of his recent involuntary manslaughter trial, actor Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria posed for photos at a screening of War Game in East Hampton, New York, on July 20.

The couple smiled for cameras while attending the Hamptons International Film Festival's SummerDocs series, with Alec sporting a dark blue jacket and light blue shirt and Hilaria wearing a fitted pink dress with a slit up the back. The happy moment came just weeks after the end of Alec's Rust shooting case, which was "dismissed with prejudice" by the judge on July 12.

Following the end of the trial, Alec thanked his supporters on Instagram.

"There are too many people who have supported me to thank just now. To all of you, you will never know how much I appreciate your kindness toward my family," the actor said in his message.

Alec was indicted by a grand jury in January after the gun he was holding while rehearsing a scene on the set of Rust discharged and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, according to People. In interviews following the incident, Alec said he didn't pull the trigger and didn't know why there was live ammunition in the weapon.

Attorney Luke Nekas requested that the case against Alec be dropped before the jury entered the courtroom because of "critical evidence" which was not disclosed by the prosecution and could have helped to explain how live ammunition ended up in the gun.

Upon hearing Sommer's decision, Alec reportedly burst out crying. A source told People that Alec and Hilaria did not "celebrate" the verdict, however.

"It's been a sad situation, and there is no winning here. They didn't celebrate. They were very worried and are grateful now that they are able to spend the rest of the summer with their kids."
