Aldi wants to get its customers moving in more ways than one with the announcement of its upcoming fitness-themed Special Buys sale.
Up for grabs on Saturday, June 19 is a range of exercise equipment and activewear for working up a sweat in winter, along with — wait for it — a pair of Segway Scooters.
Scoot into Aldi
Perfect for when you've overdone it on leg day, the electric scooters can get you from A to B in no time, without the hassle of walking.
At $349, the Segway Ninebot Kickscooter E10 can reach top speeds of 16km/hr and features spring shock absorption, silicone footbed for anti-slip, and a 7 percent hill grade.
A pricier and faster option is the E25 which costs $599 and can travel up to 25km/hr. This heavy-duty bad boy has a triple brake system and a 15 percent hill grade.
And, going by one of the supplied images, the scooters can collapse down and be carried onto the train for travelling longer distances.
The scooters are on sale from 8.30am AEST on June 19 as part of Aldi's newly-launched online exclusives store.
The German retailer announced that it was joining the world of e-commerce back in May, unveiling a fridge and a mattress as the first products for purchase online.
Shoppers will have to head into stores on June 19 for the fitness range which includes some essential buys for kitting out an at-home gym such as Air Resistance Rower for $349, a pull-up assistor for $14.99 and a door gym set for $7.99.
Look the part — even if you're not leaving the house — with Aldi's extensive range of men's and women's workout wear including tights for $14.99 as well as jackets and puffer vests both for $19.99.
