'Game-changing' Aldi Special Buy a must-have for when it gets colder
When it comes to Aldi must-have Special Buys, this one is causing such a stir in the UK, shoppers in Australia will no doubt be hoping it hits shelves here as well.
Fans of the German retailer are going crazy for the store's latest Special Buy - a heated dressing gown.
Yep, you read that right! UK Aldi stores are currently selling a full-length fleece throw with sleeves that has its own built-in heating system.
While we Aussies are enjoying a warm summer, our friends over in the UK might just be giving us an idea of what we can expect from Aldi come the cooler months.
The “game-changing” heated dressing gown is currently on sale in the UK and shoppers are snapping it up.
On social media sites, shoppers have posted more than 4000 comments about the item in less than 24 hours after it went on sale - and the reviews are in. It’s a winter must-have!
Unsurprisingly, customers are absolutely going crazy for the popular £34.99 Special Buy.
“Really pleased with this blanket. I have the grey one and it’s lovely and soft and heats up quickly too which is what I wanted. Great for home working,” one happy, and now warm, shopper said on Facebook.
How it works
The Kirkton House brand ‘Heated Throw with Sleeves’ is basically a wrap-around electric blanket with sleeves.
It’s made of soft flannel fleece, features different temperature levels, and has overheating protection.
There’s a detachable lead for easy cleaning and a digital controller unit to get the required temperature just right.

The UK Aldi website describes the item as a “soft, cozy and heated coat which not only looks great but is practical too”.
“All you have to do is wrap it around you, set your ideal temperature, and enjoy that warm and cozy feeling,” the website continues.
The heated dressing gown comes in two colours, grey - which has already sold out across UK stores and a cream colour.
When will it go on sale in Australia?
While there’s no official word from Aldi Australia, Yahoo Lifestyle understands that this item is unfortunately a UK-only Special Buy.
But don't despair just yet, because customer feedback could change this.
