If you've been eyeing the chic kitchen appliances that seem to be on everyone's wish list but can't quite justify the splurge, Aldi has your back! Their latest Special Buys include the Stirling toaster ($59.99) and kettle ($39.99), and let's just say, they’re giving those high-end brands a serious run for their money.

Zoe Gilpin, Interior Decorator and the creative mind behind The DIY Decorator, weighed in on the trend, telling Yahoo Lifestyle, "Shoppers go nuts for Aldi designer dupes as they are usually a fraction of the price of this season's must-haves! People love the look of kitchen designer items from brands such as Smeg but can't justify the high price tag, so the ranges Aldi is stocking still give them that luxe look, while being an affordable product."

But it's not just about the price—these products are also tapping into a major design trend. Zoe points out that Aldi's latest kitchen appliances, which bear a striking resemblance to the high-end Haden Dorset range, "tie in well with the modern farmhouse style we’re seeing more of in Australia. This style has been huge in America and Europe for years. The designs are timeless and give an expensive look due to their quality appearance."

And she’s not wrong. A full set of the Haden Dorset range—which these Aldi gems seem to draw inspiration from—would set you back a cool $270 AUD. And that’s if you can even get your hands on them, considering Haden is an American brand. But Aldi’s version? Just $100 for the pair. It's no wonder these items are flying off the shelves.

The Stirling kettle and toaster set is more than just a pretty face; it’s a budget-friendly way to get that high-end look without the guilt.

Zoe also noted, "Aldi has a great reputation for their Special Buy ranges being of great quality, so it's a massive win being able to get the designer look while still picking up a great item to use in the home."

And it’s not just the experts who are raving about these designer dupes. Social media is buzzing with Aldi shoppers sharing their experiences.

In a popular Facebook group, one user gushed, "I have both and absolutely love them. Got them last time they were in the catalogue."

"I’ve got a white one & absolutely love it," someone else said.

Another chimed in, "I have had the kettle in red for 12 months, still going strong."

But as with any product, opinions can vary. While many are thrilled with their purchases, one shopper shared a word of caution, "We loved our [kettle] and it looked amazing in our kitchen, but we got steam burns one too many times. Make sure you hold the handle well away from the spout when pouring."

If you’re a fan of Aldi’s kitchen dupes, you’ll know this isn’t their first rodeo.

Zoe also pointed out, "Another designer dupe item I know people go absolutely nuts for are the Aldi salt and pepper mills. They are a dupe of the Menu grinders, which cost approximately $175 for a pair. They went viral when the Scandinavian style was huge a few years back, but people are still absolutely loving them now for their bargain price and designer look."

It's clear that Aldi has a knack for creating buzzworthy kitchen items, and the new toasters and kettles are no exception. Despite a few mixed reviews, the general consensus is that these appliances are a hit. Their appeal is undeniable, especially considering the significant price difference.
