Aldi shoppers are raving about a cheap freezer item that they have compared to KFC"s potato and gravy, with a 400g bag of the potato treats currently only setting you back $4.49.
The potato gratin at Aldi comes in a few different flavours, but one shopper took to Facebook to express their delight over the gravy-flavoured potato gratin, rating them a '10/10'.
"Saw these while shopping yesterday and thought I’d try them. Wow. So good!" they wrote. "I was instantly transported back 20 years to exactly how KFC potato and gravy used to taste. 10/10 will buy again."

Other people flocked to the comment section to also express their love for the potato gratin as a perfect side accompaniment.

"I bought a packet yesterday to have with the IKEA Swedish meatballs, can’t wait to try them now," one person wrote, before reporting back after their dinner by also giving them a 10/10 rating. "Absolutely enjoyed every morsel, even my partner enjoyed them and he does not like the cream cheese and bacon potato-baked, definitely 10/10," they raved.
"OML, I will have too try them. I love the other flavours," another person commented. "[The] brocolli & cauli ones are my fave," someone else said.
"Air fryer 10 minutes, yummm," someone else suggested.

It isn't the first time the Aldi gratins have been compared to a KFC feast. One TikTok user praised the delectable treats last year and credited them to helping her create her own 'fakeaway' KFC dinner, using the spinach and ricotta gratins. "These are soooo good," she said. "I need to learn how to make them from scratch!"
Other Aldi fans weren't quite as sold on the treats.
"Mum tried these - took one bite and the rest went into the bin," one person said. "They are awful the original ones are the best," another person commented.
"Maybe yum but poor star rating," another health-conscious person pointed out.
