Aldi customer Beki Giunta has shared a Christmas dessert recipe that she says is not only delicious but easy to prepare and costs less than $15 to make.
"Here is my naughty but nice-priced lemon cheesecake Christmas wreath," she wrote on the post. "This cost under $15 using everything from Aldi. Seriously easy and seriously delicious. This will be a massive hit at your Christmas lunch.
The clip has been viewed over 72,000 times, with viewers keen to try the recipe for themselves. "Fantastic! Thank you so much for this," one viewer commented. "Great explaining. Will try. Mint leaves would look great next to the raspberry," someone else suggested.
Some of Beki's followers were concerned that the cheesecake was still pretty runny and hadn't set, but she had a simple explanation for this. "Was bloody delish! Didn't last in the fridge, was gone in not even an hour," she wrote in the comments. "It sets solid after being refrigerated, I ate it before I put it in the fridge, however have made it many times and it definitely goes solid in there." Phew.
375g cream cheese
1 lemon zested and squeezed
400g tin condensed milk
Toppings of your choice
To make the wreath, Beki first crushed the biscuits and mixed them with the melted butter. Then she pressed the biscuit mixture into a doughnut shape on her plate.
Next, she mixed together the cream cheese, condensed milk, lemon zest and juice before spooning the mixture on top of the biscuit base. She then decorated her wreath with fresh fruit.
