Aldi offers a steady supply of budget-friendly staples, but one of the biggest draws of the store is its unique items. The retailer keeps its shelves fresh with new finds every week so there’s always something exciting to add to your shopping list. We know that Aldi has crave-worthy snacks, but we can’t forget all the great freezer finds the store has to offer. Aldi’s frozen bean and cheese burritos and smash burgers are excellent meal starters, plus it’s always worth stocking up on frozen pizza.

Now, Aldi shoppers have spotted a new side dish in the freezer section, and it takes just minutes to cook in the air fryer.

Shoppers can now snag a bag of Season’s Choice Sweet Corn Ribs from Aldi. If you’re wondering how in the world corn has ribs, you’re not alone. Many said they saw the item in stores but didn’t know what they were. Corn ribs are essentially slices of corn on the cob. Once cooked, these tend to curl slightly, giving them a resemblance vaguely similar to pork ribs. Corn ribs are not meant to be an alternative to meat, and instead, offer a fun way to enjoy the popular barbecue side dish.

Season’s Choice Sweet Corn Ribs are unseasoned, meaning you can add spices that best complement your meal. Cajun seasoning, ranch, and Tajin are popular options. You can even make them elote-style and top them with cotija, lime, and chili powder.

What Fans Are Saying About Aldi’s Sweet Corn Ribs

In a recent Reddit thread, one customer shared a photo of the packaging and their initial thoughts on the product. “Ok these are excellent, pop them in the air fryer and they are quick and easy,” they wrote in the caption. Fans were quick to share in the excitement and offer up how they served them. “We had these with a couple of the grass-fed ribeyes last night and for frozen corn, they were really good. Gave them a good rub down with olive oil and a whole bunch of spices and [cooked under the] broiler,” shared one fan.

In a separate Reddit thread, users discussed how the frozen option is great for those who don’t want to cut their own corn ribs and likened them to the Trader Joe’s version. “So good! And much safer (for my clumsy self at least) than trying to make corn ribs at home,” added one Redditor.

But not everyone was impressed. One user found their corn ribs were dry after air frying, but others chimed in saying that they didn’t have the same experience and the product even exceeded expectations. “My husband and I literally just had these for dinner. I followed the air fryer directions and then tossed them in melted butter then I added spices (garlic/salt&pepper/cayenne) and we both really liked them! And I don’t normally enjoy corn!” shared the commenter.

So if you’ve been on the fence about trying corn ribs, now is the time. We don’t know how long Season’s Choice Sweet Corn Ribs will be in stores, but many of Aldi’s products rotate quickly, so be sure to grab a bag before they disappear.
