Taking to a budget-friendly Facebook page, the mum wrote that she picks up the majority of the ingredients in Aldi.

She makes 32 kids’ size muffins out of two boxes of Aldi's blueberry muffin mix, which costs her $4.

Then, the mum takes four packers of vanilla cake mix from Aldi, which costs her $2.80, a 250g tub of margarine for $1.50 and two packets of chocolate chips for $4.

She makes 160 kids’ size choc chip cookies out of it, which she bags in threes, giving her $85 snack bags in total.

The mum spends just $12.30 on 85 snack bags.

The whole thing only costs her $12.30, meaning each snack comes in at the bargain price of 14 cents.

After people commented asking how she uses the margarine in the recipe, she replied: “If you melt the margarine in a saucepan until it just starts to get that cooked butter smell and then let it set in the fridge before mixing with the cake mix.

“Mix until it comes together in a smooth ball... fold in choc chips and ball onto baking paper... bake them for 12min on 160 and let cool.”

“Everything looks great”, one person commented, with oethers saying they would be trying out the hack at home themselves.
