Al Roker Applauded for Blunt Directive: 'You Tell'em Al'

Al Roker has a bone to pick with his New York City neighbors, and he found the perfect opportunity to address it last night, Feb. 2, when the area received a dusting of snow.

Alongside a peaceful video of thick flakes reflecting in the street lamp on the way down to Roker's block, the meteorologist mused on the "nice coating of snow" before addressing his dog-owning fellow Manhattan residents, pointing out that a "dog’s poop doesn’t magically melt away with the snow."

"Pick up after your pooch," he concluded, reminding local pet owners of the often-neglected responsibility, as followers broke into unanimous applause for the blunt directive.

"You tell ‘em Al! 👍🏼," many fans wrote, while another noted that they "2nd that."

"That’s right you tell them!" another comment read, going on to lament how "Awful [it is] when people just leave it."

"👏👏👏YES!! Preach it!" followers continued to praise, with one noting how "Perfectly said!!!" the statement was and another encouraging him, "Give em heck al!!!"

"Say it louder so NJ can hear you!" another begged, while one follower from Montana was unfortunately able to sympathize with the "frustrating" problem, too.

"...amen to the dog advice!!" a fellow member of the neighborhood commented, also laughing over the fact that the weatherman's social media post told them it was snowing. "I live in your hood and didn't realize we had a coating," they wrote. "I just saw this post and got up and looked. Gotta love a coating in NYC!"
