Al Pacino Says Son Roman, 1, Is ‘Learning New Things’: 'He’s Come into the World a Little More'
The actor and Noor Alfallah welcomed Roman in June 2023
Al Pacino is embracing his youngest child getting older.
In an interview with The New York Times published on Oct. 5 the Godfather actor, 84, gave an update about his young son, Roman, whom he shares with Noor Alfallah.
When asked about Roman, who was born in June 2023, Pacino said that "he’s come into the world a little more now. He’s learning things."
The Scarface star added that welcoming a child in his 80s was "one of the reasons" he wanted to tell his own story in the upcoming memoir Sonny Boy, which is out on Oct 8.
"That has been a campaign for me to stick around a little longer if it’s possible," he said.

Elsewhere in the interview, Pacino was asked what movie Roman should eventually watch to grasp his father's acting chops. "I think he should start off with Adam Sandler's," the star said, referring to the 2011 comedy Jack and Jill, which featured his cameo in a Dunkin Donuts commercial.
"I think that’s funny. It came at a time in my life that I needed it, because it was after I found out I had no more money," Pacino recalled. "My accountant was in prison, and I needed something quickly. So I took this."
"There’s this thing I do in that film: They got me doing a Dunkin’ Donuts commercial. You know how many people think I actually made that commercial? I mean it's just so unfair," he continued.
The cameo in the film features Pacino singing, dancing and changing his name to "Dunk" a la the coffee chain's Dunkaccino beverage — and then telling Sandler's character that the commercial must "never be seen."
"[Sandler] put the film on, and it's always been all over the Internet," Pacino added on the Times' accompanying podcast.
