ABC Drops First Look at '9-1-1' and 'Doctor Odyssey' Crossover Episode

9-1-1 is heading out to sea for its next mission — and ABC is giving viewers a first look at what to expect from its latest crossover episode.

The hit ABC drama announced its latest TV collaboration back in February, and fans learned Athena Grant Nash (Angela Bassett) will make an appearance on an episode of the series Doctor Odyssey. Ahead of the installment (titled "Casino Week") airing on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC, fans got to see how the two shows will merge together with a sneak peek promo posted on Instagram on March 17. And if that wasn't enough, Doctor Odyssey's social team played up how Athena may be in for a mission she wasn't expecting while on a cruise ship.

"Don't worry, Athena, nothing bad ever happens on The Odyssey 🚢," the caption read. "@im.angelabassett guest stars on the #911onABC x #DoctorOdyssey Crossover Event, Thursday at 9/8c on ABC! Stream on Hulu."

Amid seeing the surprise sneak peek, fans couldn't help but comment with their excitement — and apprehension — about what's to come for the 9-1-1 and Doctor Odyssey crossover.

"This is going be interesting 👀 I ain't missing it," one person wrote. "Why are y'all torturing Athena on another cruise y'all??????" another lamented, referencing the character getting into danger on another cruise at the beginning of 9-1-1 season 7. "Yesss let the games begin!! 🔥," a different follower added.

While most of the episode premise is under wraps at the moment, it's important to note that it seems like Athena is the only 9-1-1 character involved in the crossover with Doctor Odyssey. And given how the episode will see her helping out Dr. Max Bankman (Joshua Jackson) as they investigate two passengers seemingly targeting the Odyssey's vault, it seems like this will be a high-stakes moment that may end with some unexpected results.

Now, we definitely need to see what's coming down the line for both 9-1-1 and Doctor Odyssey! But for now, you can check out the below gallery of episode photos for a preview of the exciting episode.
