When second-grade teacher Ms. Teagues finds a squirrel in her classroom, the animal's surprise appearance is only the beginning of her problems. Ms. Teagues and her fellow faculty must team up to find the squirrel once they realize that the critter has been storing nuts in the walls, and its acorns have caused a huge crack to spread across the elementary school.

The book, though perfect for readers ages 4 to 8, is sure to delight fans of all ages, as well as “anyone who likes to laugh,” per its publisher.

In 2022, Brunson spoke to PEOPLE about creating the series when she was named as one of the magazine’s 2022 People of the Year.

“My main priority was just making Abbott,” she said. “All of the things that have been happening are because I got to make that and make it the way I wanted.”
