ABBA star Björn Ulvaeus has tied the knot for a third time!

On Saturday, Sept. 21, a message posted to Ulvaeus' Instagram account confirmed that the musician and Christina Sas had married in Copenhagen, Denmark — her native country — that day.

Ulvaeus, 79, confirmed the news alongside multiple photographs, which showed former The Great British Baking Show host Sandi Toksvig seemingly officiated while wearing a long red and gold robe.

Toksvig previously worked on the script for Mamma Mia! The Party; an ABBA-themed dining experience held at The O2 Arena in London.

Ulvaeus and his wife were both dressed by fashion designer Soeren Le Schmidt for the ceremony, the Instagram post confirmed. The ABBA star donned a dark suit and white T-shirt for the ceremony, while Sas wore a long green dress and carried a blue bouquet of flowers.

"Today on the 21st of September 2024, Björn Ulvaeus married Christina Sas from Herning, Denmark," the post's caption read.

"They met in Nürnberg in 2021 in connection with the release of ABBA’s last album Voyage and started dating in the spring of 2022," the message continued.

The caption added, "The wedding took place in Copenhagen in the presence of close friends and family. Sandi Toksvig, Anne Linnet and Kaya Brüel generously performed and made the evening extra special."

Among the carousel of images, the newlyweds posed with Danish musicians Linnet and Brüel, with the first snap showing the couple posing among the trees.

Ulvaeus was previously married to fellow ABBA band member Agnetha Fältskog from 1971 to 1980, before tying the knot with Lena Kallersjö in 1981. He shares two children with each of his ex-wives.

Ulvaeus and Kallersjö were married for 41 years before divorcing in 2022.

On Feb. 23 of that year, the former couple released a statement confirming the breakup, per The Independent.

“We remain close and good friends and will continue to celebrate our grandchildren’s birthdays and other family celebrations together,” the message read at the time, according to the outlet.

Music-wise, ABBA — which also consists of Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad — dropped its ninth and final studio album, Voyage, in November 2021, announcing a virtual ABBA Voyage concert in a custom-built arena in London to accompany the release.

While speaking to Rolling Stone U.K. in an interview published in May 2023, Ulvaeus said of whether he ever envisaged "a digital version" of himself "performing to thousands every night" after ABBA's split in 1982, "Of course not! Back in 1982 I had just bought my first IBM PC and there was no internet, there was nothing."

"We had 64K RAM and that was about it. At that point I thought that ABBA might come back together and do a new album maybe, but that never happened. What’s happened to us now is just mind-boggling," he added.
