Aaron Carter’s Ex-Fiancée Says Son Is ‘The Best Little Boy,’ Confirms She Got DNA Test to Prove His Paternity (Exclusive)
Melanie Martin tells PEOPLE exclusively that she and her little one are "doing good"
Aaron Carter's former fiancée, Melanie Martin, is setting the record straight.
Martin, who was in an on-and-off relationship with Carter between 2020 and 2022, confirmed to PEOPLE that she got a DNA test this week to prove that the late singer is the father of her nearly 3-year-old son Prince.
She told TMZ, who first reported the news, that it proves "without a shadow of a doubt" that Carter is Prince's dad and comes after hearing so many "baseless" rumors and accusations for years.

After sharing the news that Martin was expecting during an Instagram Live in April 2020, Carter told PEOPLE at the time that is exactly "what we both want."
"We both were trying for it. I’m just focused on the future and being a dad," he told PEOPLE. "I want to be a good dad. I’m focused, my music career has been doing really well, and touring, having my clothing line out, all that stuff I have going for me that isn’t necessarily just music. Family is most important to me."
