'7 Little Johnstons' Liz Celebrates Daughter Leighton's Huge Milestone

7 Little Johnstons star Liz Johnston gave birth to her first child, daughter Leighton, in late 2023. Recently, she and her boyfriend, Brice Bolden, celebrated their baby girl's huge milestone—and Liz marked the momentous occasion on social media.

On Wednesday, Feb. 5, Liz, 23, took to her Instagram Story with the exciting update.

"February brought us a walker!" the doting mother captioned the clip. "Our Leighty-Bug is on the move!!"

In the black-and-white video, Leighton toddled into a living room while facing away from the camera. Liz also included a sticker in the bottom right corner that read, "Happy girl."

In a late January interview with Parade, Liz opened up about the lessons she's learned while raising Leighton, who turned 1 on Nov. 3.

"I've grown to accept that all babies, really, they hit their milestones at their own time," she explained. "I mean, I know some babies that started walking at 9 months or right when they're 1. Leighton's not the case. She's going to be patient and take her own time."

Liz added, "But that's just her personality. Really, she likes to do it her way, her own way. Like, even feeding herself, she'll sometimes let me feed her. But then she's like, 'Ehh!' and she wants to do it herself. She is a very independent girl."

As far as advice for first-time parents, Liz stressed that the "biggest thing is accept the change and the growth and be patient."

She concluded, "Ultimately, be very patient with your spouse, with your child, be patient."
