We're suckers for sweater weather: These are our top picks for staying warm while looking cute this winter.

Ask any fashion lover, and there's a good chance they'll tell you they love fall and winter. Why? Because the clothes are so good! From standout coats to cozy sweaters, getting dressed for cold weather is so much fun.

I enjoy summer, but there's no denying that I'm definitely team winter. Sweaters are probably my favorite thing to wear, and I look forward to adding a few new ones to my collection each year. Turns out, I'm not alone. Some of my fellow Yahoo shopping editors are also serious sweater stans. With the cooler weather on the way (or already here, in some parts of the country), I decided to rally the team and get them to dish on their fave styles this season. From oversized turtlenecks to dainty lady jackets, check out the sweaters we're loving right now.

This oversized turtleneck is my favorite sweater this season! It's a little chunky, but not bulky. Slightly oversized, but still comfortably fits under all my winter coats. I like the looser fit because I think it drapes nicely and you can dress it up or down. So far, I have it in two colors and I like to wear them with jeans and suede booties.

The neutral tan color Ellie chose is smart option if you want something versatile enough to wear with lots of different outfits. If you're looking for something festive, this ribbed sweater also comes in classic black, cherry red and a few preppy striped options.

Okay, now hear me out — Walmart's clothes will actually surprise you. When I came across this J.Crew lookalike in my local Walmart store, I couldn't resist trying it on. It was so good, I purchased it in two colors. The knit is soft and hangs nicely and the gold buttons don't look cheap or chintzy at all. I also love that I can wear it buttoned up as a top with jeans or a skirt or open like a regular cardigan over a dress. This is easily one of the best sweater buys I've made in a while.

Paid for by Walmart

I initially bought this "old money" style sweater in black and red. I'm currently resisting the urge to get the navy as well.

Like me, shoppers at Walmart have been pleasantly surprised by this purchase. "[This is a] very nice sweater for fall," one person wrote in their review. "[It] looks great with jeans or dressed up. The quality of the fabric is very soft, fit is true to size."

Another fan added, "The quality of the sweater is amazing from the button details to the stitching. Definitely gives the vibe that it's from a higher-end store. This is one of those pieces that can styled casually and dressed up. This is closet staple for me. I totally recommend for the fall and the winter."

I’ve been absolutely loving this boyfriend sweater from the Gap and have been wearing it non-stop since I got it two months ago. The oversized silhouette is just perfect, and it’s incredibly comfy and warm for those chilly fall days. I picked up the classic navy color (which seems to be flying off the shelves as it constantly sells out!), but I’m seriously considering adding the cream and black shades to my wardrobe as well.

This soon-to-be wardrobe staple satin midi skirt, this generously sized sweater is a hit with Gap shoppers. One customer called it the "Perfect fall sweater" while another said it's "Incredibly soft [with a] perfect fit." Sounds... perfect.

Sadly, the navy color Rebecca is wearing is currently sold out, but you can still grab it in black, red, cream and camel.

This is, without a doubt, the softest sweater I have ever worn — I actually have it in four colors, but almond is my favorite. It feels like air but is surprisingly warm. I've worn it with everything from jeans to over a dress as a summer layer.

Warm, fuzzy yet pill-resistant and itch-free, this sweater boasts over 2,000 five-star fans on the Everlane site. There are more than 10 colors to choose from and shoppers say it has a chic relaxed fit without being frumpy. Many fans like it so much that they've purchased more than one color. "This will be a staple for winter. I came back and bought this sweater in another color," one shopper wrote. Another person commented, "I really love this style. This is the third color I purchased. The other two are already one year old, and they still look new."

I got this lightweight sweater before a recent trip to Italy and it certainly proved to be a wardrobe MVP. I wore it a few times over the two weeks I was traveling and easily dressed it up with skirts and down with jeans. The material is super soft and it surprisingly didn't wrinkle after being stuffed in my suitcase for 10+ days. If you're looking for a new layering piece, make it this one.

Sometimes, you don’t need a heavy, wooly winter sweater. Sometimes, something sleek will do. Whether that's because you live somewhere that doesn’t call for a thick, chunky layer or you’re looking for a warm base under a stylish blazer, this sleek and stylish polo style is the streamlined sweater you're looking for. It's available in three neutral colors and the merino wool material is buttery soft with very little itch factor.

Important to note: This sweater is designed for a closer fit. If you want something looser, consider sizing up.
