31 Times Celebs Accidentally Exposed Themselves – And Their Famous Friends — On Social Media
1.In 2019, Justin Bieber posted an Instagram story calling out The Daily Telegraph for misspelling his name in a headline, writing, "How are you gonna spell my name wrong after all these years ?? Haha." However, fans quickly noticed his search history was also included in the photo, which showed pages on Selena Gomez's Coachella performance. Bieber, who is married to Hailey Bieber (previously Baldwin), had notably dated Gomez when they were both young stars.
2.Speaking of Hailey, she once "accidentally" followed a Selena Gomez fan page. She quickly unfollowed, with the account posting a screenshot of Baldwin messaging her and saying "hey followed u by accident so sorry!" Fans thought she was trying to stay up-to-date on Selena's activities since she used to date Justin.
3.While attending a Taylor Swift concert with his wife Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban posted a TikTok of the two dancing, thanking Taylor and her team for the show. In the background, fans quickly spotted Bo Burnam and Phoebe Bridgers canoodling and kissing. The two were rumored to be dating, but there had been no confirmation.
4.In late 2022, Pete Wentz posted an Instagram Story of him cooking—except he accidentally confirmed that Brendon Urie and his wife Sarah were expecting a child when eagle-eyed fans zoomed in to see a picture of Brendon holding Sarah with his arms around her baby bump in the background.

6.And Vanessa Morgan outed a potential relationship between J.R. Smith and Candice Patton when she posted a video of them together at a Halloween party. At the time, Smith was still married to Jewel Harris. In December, Harris publicly accused Patton and Smith of cheating, though Smith then took to Instagram to say the two had been separated for months.

7.Posting a series of photos of her friends' reactions to her engagement, model Karlie Kloss inadvertently revealed Princess Beatrice's secret private Instagram when she tagged it in the photo featuring Bea. A royal correspondent appeared to confirm the account was Beatrice's, saying, "The princesses have long had private accounts. Harry has one too. No protocol to say it's not allowed!"
8.Julianne Moore did something similar at the Golden Globes earlier this year. She posted a photo with Andrew Scott on the red carpet to her Instagram Story, tagging @19irmcas — which was not previously known to belong to Scott. She did the same thing in January, tagging the account when reposting a photo of Scott for Flaunt Magazine.
9.Sabrina Carpenter similarly leaked Boy Meets World costar Corey Fogelmanis' finsta while doing an Instagram Live. She attempted to add him to the Live but accidentally added his private account. Carpenter later apologized for the slip-up in a birthday message to Fogelmanis, writing, "Happy 20th to the sweetest most platonic relationship in my life. I'm sorry i leaked your finsta and crammed eleven cookies into the VCR, but i love you more and more every day."

Posting a face-swap video she'd received from Bey that appears to use Snapchat's face-swapping technology on Instagram, Lawson sent fans into a frenzy, leading them to believe Bey had Snapchat. However, Lawson later denied that Beyoncé has a secret account, and the actual account has never been discovered.
11.Some of the funniest times celebrities have exposed themselves have to do with that pesky "sent from iPhone" marker on Twitter. For example, back in the early 2010s, Oprah continually promoted the Microsoft Surface. In late November 2012, she again tweeted her love for the product and said she'd bought 12 of them as Christmas gifts— but the tweet itself noted that it had been posted from her iPad.
12.Similarly, in 2013, BlackBerry named Alicia Keys their Global Creative Director, and Keys went on record with The New York Times that she only used her BlackBerry 10. Then she posted a tweet reading, "Started from the bottom now were here!" The problem? The tweet indicated it was sent from an iPhone. Keys later claimed she'd been hacked.
13.In 2016, Kanye tweeted a photo of himself watching a video on YouTube. On his other tabs, you can see that he's on The Pirate Bay, apparently torrenting a file. As he also had a tab for Xfer Records Serum open, its founders believed he was illegally downloading the music software and called out Ye for the illegal move. It doesn't appear that Kanye responded.
14.Recently, Kelly Osbourne may have unintentionally revealed that Jeff Karnowski is a new member of Slipknot after posting a photo of frontman Corey Taylor on Instagram. In the background, what appears to be a band member can be seen. It's difficult to tell who the photo is of, but fans believe it's Jeff Karnowski and that he is the new keyboardist for the band after former member Craig Jones left the group. Karnowski has still not been confirmed as a member of the mask-wearing group, but more evidence has emerged that points to him.
15.While Travis Barker did mention the name "Rocky" as a contender for his child with Kourtney Kardashian Barker during her pregnancy, the name was not confirmed until after he was born. Except the name had actually been confirmed months earlier if you looked at Instagram stories from the baby shower. By zooming in on one photo, viewers were able to spot a note on a "Wishing Tree" addressed to "Rocky," which read, "May Baby Rocky have … life filled with love."
16.When Dean Norris simply tweeted, "Sex gifs" in 2018, many believed he'd mistaken Twitter as a search bar, and accidentally revealed he had been wanting to look up sex gifs. We can't confirm this was his intention, or that he wasn't hacked, but the Internet had a field day, and it remains one of the more memorable examples of celebs possible exposing themselves.
It doesn't look like Norris ever addressed the tweet — which is still up, BTW.

17.His Breaking Bad co-star Bob Odenkirk was also caught on social media, this time when a follower noticed that he was following @perfect_feet_in_sexy_shoes, a foot fetish account on Instagram. Odenkirk did not address this, but he did unfollow the account.
18.Harry Styles similarly favorited an NSFW image from a porn star asking to lick a certain something off her fingers on Twitter in 2014, leading to #HarryDontLickAnything trending. Upon noticing the trend, Styles tweeted, "Sooooo... The weather?" He then unfavorited the tweet and favorited a bunch of cute animal photos instead.
19.Samuel L Jackson also liked a ton of hardcore porn on Twitter, all of which he unliked after fans pointed it out to him.
20.Of course, we can't bring up these snafus without bringing up a similar Ted Cruz incident. Back in 2017, the infamous senator liked a porn video on Twitter (on 9/11, no less). After people noticed, the like was removed, and Cruz said, "There are a number of people on the team that have access to the account and it appears that someone inadvertently hit the like button. When we discovered the post... we pulled it down."
21.Armie Hammer — who has become infamous for cannibal allegations — was also caught liking some NSFW tweets, in this case about bondage. He would later become embroiled in one of the biggest sex scandals to involve a modern celeb.
22.Less problematically, in 2020, Chris Evans accidentally and famously tweeted a revealing image of his erect penis. The photo was hidden in a video tweet that showed his camera roll, where fans quickly spotted the image. Though Evans immediately deleted the tweet, the damage was done, and he began trending on Twitter. Taking advantage of the circumstances, he tweeted, “Now that I have your attention…VOTE Nov 3rd!!!"
23.Eiza Gonzalez accidentally showed a little more of her boyfriend, Josh Duhamel, than intended in an Instagram video of herself in a bikini. Fans quickly noticed a man (who looked like Duhamel) getting undressed, reflected in the mirror. A pot blocked his more NSFW areas, but it was still quite revealing. Gonzalez quickly deleted the video and then posted it again, with the reflection cropped out in this version.

24.Football player Antonio Brown once tweeted out an alleged text exchange between him and trainer Alex Guerrero, in which he requested a refund from Guerrero, and Guerrero appeared to agree. Brown then sent back his bank info — which is included in the tweet. He later deleted the tweet.
25.K-pop megastar Jungkook accidentally exposed his secret TikTok account when he shared a video via Weverse. When navigating to the video, fans were shown the star's account to follow. He later confirmed this via Twitter, saying he was embarrassed and wasn't going to use it anymore.
26.Back when 17-year-old Kylie Jenner was only rumored to be dating Tyga (who is seven years older than her), she appeared to reveal their relationship by posting a photo on Snapchat with the rapper, which was quickly deleted. The controversial relationship was eventually soft-launched by Tyga on Instagram, with Kanye West and Khloé Kardashian appearing to confirm the relationship in interviews.
27.Kaitlyn Bristow accidentally revealed the winner of her season of The Bachelorette when she posted a photo on her Snapchat story of herself in bed with winner Shawn Booth weeks before the finale had aired. "We were sending Snaps to one of the producers," Booth later revealed. "[And then] I pick up my phone to go on Twitter, and there's hundreds of pictures of my stupid face laying in bed with her. I started having a panic attack. I couldn't even breathe." It was deleted, but the damage was done.
28.In 2017, Serena Williams posted a photo of herself with a baby bump captioned "20 weeks" on Snapchat. She later deleted the photo, and revealed to Gayle King that she hadn't meant to post it. "I was on vacation just taking some time for myself and I have this thing where I've been checking my status and taking pictures every week to see how far along I'm going," Williams said. "I didn't tell a lot of people, to be quite honest, and I'd been saving it. And you know how social media is when you press the wrong button…and…" King stepped in to supply: "There it was!"
29.French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal recently posted a TikTok of him meeting Lady Gaga at the Paris Olympics. In the video, Gaga refers to her boyfriend, Michael Polansky, as her fiancé — she would later confirm the engagement during the Olympics.
30.Kate Walsh also accidentally revealed her engagement to Andrew Nixon on an Instagram Live reunion for her show Private Practice, a spinoff of Grey's Anatomy. When Nixon walked into the frame, Walsh said, "Here comes the jungle cat that is my fiancé." Costar Amy Brenneman quickly realized what Walsh had done, telling Nixon, "She just 100 percent outed your engagement."
31.And finally, this wasn't posted by Robin, but still...at a VMA afterparty, Robin Thicke took a photo with fan Lana Scolaro (see photo at the link). After the photo was uploaded, people started to notice that you could see Thicke groping Scolaro's butt in the mirror behind them — which Scolaro then confirmed happened. Thicke — who never addressed the photo — was married to Paula Patton at the time. The photo made waves online, contributing to Thicke's status as a controversial figure. Thicke and Patton would later divorce.
