Here's What Might Happen With The 2025 Grammys As A Result Of The Los Angeles Wildfires

The Los Angeles wildfires continue to burn and threaten thousands of homes in the city. The death toll has since risen to 16 people.

Since Los Angeles functions as the effective center of the American entertainment industry, the industry itself has responded to the devastation faced by many of the people who work within it, as well as the communities they exist in. Yesterday, SAG-AFTRA announced it was donating $1 million to "assist members experiencing hardship caused by the Los Angeles fires."

As the fires have persisted, multiple premieres and Hollywood events have been postponed or canceled as well — and according to the Hollywood Reporter, the 2025 Grammys might be next on the chopping block.

The event is supposed to take place on Feb. 2, but multiple sources tell the publication that "discussions are underway to either postpone the CBS show (and all its ancillary events) or pivot the broadcast to a fundraiser."

The article also cites a senior TV executive who believes it's "highly likely" the Grammys ceremony will be postponed, largely because the fires are still active.

THR also reports that plans are underway for a benefit concert that would take place before the Grammys' scheduled airdate, and that details are still being worked out.
