2024 in Review: Best Love Triangle, Lamest Cameo, Most Unnecessary Death and 80+ More TV Superlatives
Here at TVLine, we’ve spent the month of December revisiting the finer details of 2024 television, from the character deaths we’re still mourning to our favorite platonic duos to the scenes that live rent-free in our brains, even months later.
But, if you can believe it, we’re about to get even more specific with it.
More from TVLine
As our annual Year in Review retrospective comes to a close, the list below recognizes the winners — or losers, in some cases — of more than 80 ultra-precise categories related to this year’s TV, including the most frustrating character, the catchiest original song and the small screen’s very cutest kid. (That last category may have been the one with the toughest competition.)
And though many of our “round-up” categories give well-earned props to this year’s shows — other superlatives include Best Villain, Most Improved Character and Funniest Hookup — not every award is one you’d want to win: We’re also calling out 2024’s worst love triangle, lamest celebrity cameo and buzziest TV event that failed to live up to its own hype, among other missteps.
Keep scrolling to see all of our final Year in Review accolades, then drop a comment with your own winners and losers!
