The 2015 Oscars Gift Bags Have Been Revealed
Variety has revealed the contents of the 2015 Oscars gift bags, and they're certainly worth attending the ceremony for.
Adding up to a grand total of $125,000 (vs last year's paltry $80,000), this year's nominees will be privy to a number of wonderful (and weird) gifts.
At the top of the list is a three-night stay in Tuscany worth $11,500, followed by a train ride through the Rockies worth $14,500 and a glamping trip worth $12,500.
Further to that, celebs will also be privy to a $20,000 gift certificate to have Enigma Life founder Olessia Kantor fly out for a personal meeting with each nominee "to discuss their 2015 horoscope, analyse dreams and teach them mind control techniques".
They'll also be privy (or exposed to...) an 'Afterglow' vibrator ($250), a custom candy and dessert buffet ($800) and the annual favourite, Dr Charles Runels' 'vagina rejuvenation procedure' also known as the O-Shot ($2,700).
There are more normal gifts in the bag of course, with every beauty brand under the sun trying to get in on the action.
"The hope of every one of these brands is that the celebrity will actually like the product and be seen publicly using the product," PR guru Katharine D. Paine told CNBC. "With a huge amount of luck, the brand will end up in a caption on the gossip page of Vanity Fair."
And in case you were wondering, no, the celebs don't have to haul ass out of the Oscars with a gigantic gift bag - they're sent to each nominees house the day after the ceremony. Thank goodness for that.
