The news comes a day after the singer opened up about health updates in their new song, "The End," though she didn't detail the conditions on the track. "The End" is the first song of a new album, their fifth, that is set to be released at a later date.

She opens the song singing: "Every couple of years now / a doctor says I'm sick / Pulls out a new bag of tricks / and then they lay it on me / And at first, it was my brain / then a skeleton in pain / And I don't like to complain, / but I'm saying sorry."

"I realize everyone is catching up with news I've held in for a very long time, and I wasn't sure how much I wanted to share. You've all been so kind so I want to share a bit more," they continued, before noting her lupus SLE and "rare" T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder diagnoses.

"After a rocky start, I slowly got everything under control with the help of amazing doctors," she continued. "After 2 years, I'm feeling better and I'm more grateful than ever to have music to turn to."

According to the Mayo Clinic, Lupus is "a disease that occurs when your body's immune system attacks your own tissues and organs (autoimmune disease)." The National Library of Medicine defines lymphoproliferative disorders as "a heterogeneous group of diseases characterized by uncontrolled production of lymphocytes that cause monoclonal lymphocytosis, lymphadenopathy and bone marrow infiltration."
