This $12.5 Million Craftsman-Style Home Is Perched Over Lake Washington
Vibrant hues of orange, pink, and yellow often illustrate the morning skies above Lake Washington. And now, a craftsman-style residence overlooking its calm waters is now up for grabs, affording you unobstructed views of its natural beauty as well as the city skyline.
The gated estate at 9310 SE 5th Street was built in 1968 as a single-family residence in Bellevue, Wash. Its seller bought it in 1986 and completed a major renovation of the home in 1992, which tacked on a swimming pool and removed walls to give it an indoor-outdoor feel. By 2002, it underwent a second renovation, this time for its interiors. Seattle-based architect Patrick Brennan was tapped to work on the two-story home, alongside names like Doug Rasar and David Pfeiffer, who updated the interiors with a pyramid skylight and landscaping, respectively. It most recently came to market in November 2024 at the current asking of $12.5 million. Terry Allen and Patricia Wallace of Coldwell Banker Realty hold the 2.69-acre listing in the Evergreen State.

A pair of columns greet owners ahead of the front door, set beneath metal roofing. The abode’s airy 5,640-square-foot layout begins to take shape from the entry hall, where hardwood floors lead to the main living area. Here, a vaulted ceiling slopes toward a massive skylight at the heart of the room. Four columns hold up the square outline of this feature that floods the communal space with natural light. The dining space can be found beneath it, opposite the living room with one of three French limestone fireplaces in the residence.
Elsewhere on the main level, you’ll come across the chef’s kitchen with a modern gas range and a double oven. Two spaces for entertaining are set nearby: One is a new glass breakfast room with sunrise views, the othera sitting area ahead of the kitchen. The primary bedroom is located on the main floor, too, with a sloped ceiling and balcony access. Its ensuite allows you to hop out of the soaking tub and into a walk-in closet. Four more bedrooms on the home’s lower level ensure that there’s plenty of room for guests.
