'1000-LB Sisters' Star Tammy Slaton Praised for 'Looking Amazing' in Latest Weight Loss Selfies
Fans who have cheered on Tammy Slaton for years over the course of her weight-loss journey say she is “looking amazing” in new selfies shared on social media this week.
The 1000-Lb. Sisters star has appeared on the reality TV series alongside her younger sister, Amy Slaton, since the show debuted in 2020. Both sisters, who together weighed more than 1,000 pounds at the start of the TLC show, have made significant progress toward reaching their weight-loss goals over the last few years.
Tammy, 37, showed off her progress in a series of selfies that she shared in two back-to-back Instagram posts on Mon., April 15. She kicked off her first 10-part Instagram carousel with a photo of herself posing with her new pet cat on her lap. Wearing glasses and a bright red shirt, Tammy smiled for two selfies with the new four-legged addition to her family before the post began showing off a collection of selfies that showed Tammy looking directly into the camera.
Tammy’s second 10-part Instagram carousel included additional selfies, eight of which showed the reality TV star posing while wearing a gray shirt that featured a fun watermelon print. In the final two photos, Tammy wore an off-the-shoulder black top that appeared to feature a bit of lace detailing near the shoulder.
Eric Smith, the bariatric surgeon who has worked with Tammy, left a comment praising her healthy glow on her first Instagram carousel. “You are killing it!” he wrote.
Several fans also left comments applauding Tammy and, in some cases, telling her that sharing her journey with the world has been an “inspiration” to them.
“Okayyyy she feelin herself,” one fan wrote as another cheered, “Holy neck bones!! 😃 You look great girl!! So proud of you!!”
“Slay queen!! You are my inspiration,” one Instagram user wrote. “Your [sic] looking amazing,” another said as one person echoed their sentiment, writing, “You look amazing Tammy.”
1000-Lb. Sisters aired its last episode of Season 5 in February. While fans of the show are clamoring for its quick return, TLC hasn’t yet made any announcements regarding a sixth season.
