Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom: All New Wedding Details

Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr is expected to marry her moviestar fiance Orlando Bloom in an “intimate ceremony” in the UK or US later this year, a source close to the couple reveals to WHO.

The report puts an end to speculation that the Victoria’s Secret model, 27, would return to her childhood home of Gunnedah, NSW, to stage the highly anticipated nuptials.

With Kerr’s busy schedule preventing her from returning to Australia to celebrate the exciting news with her family, Kerr’s mother Therese flew to Los Angeles to share in the post-engagement glow. Bloom, meanwhile, had already spoken to the parents of the bride-to-be — the Pirates of the Caribbean star, 33, went into his proposal armed with permission and a “custom-made ring by an exclusive jeweller,” says the source.

“Orlando was the proper English gentleman and called [Miranda’s father] John Kerr to ask for Miranda’s hand shortly before asking the question”.

Friends and family were ecstatic for the couple, who have been dating officially since early 2008. “They are good together, they laugh and giggle,” said grandmother Anne Kerr. “When we are all together I watch them and see that he’s very attentive to Miranda.”

Kerr’s best friend at St Mary’s College High, Lauren Ramien, told WHO that “I always had a feeling he was the one for her. They just get on so well — they really complement each other.”
