Australia’s Love Hot Spots Revealed

A new report by online dating company eHarmony has revealed the best places in Australia to find love.

According to the relationship experts, the ACT is the best location in the nation to hunt for a reputable date, with residents one third more likely than the average to be looking for love.

Following that, Queensland is the next eligible state, with 16% of residents more likely to be in the market for a relationship.

If you’re a single female, you might find more than a pot of gold in the country’s mining towns – the West Coast of South Australia is rife with single men, closely followed by Lefroy and Lakes in Western Australia.

On the other hand, if you’re a single male, the best place to find the girl of your dreams is either the Gold Coast, which reportedly has the highest proportion of single ladies (66%), or Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs (63%) and North Sydney (62%).

It seems both sexes should steer clear of Darwin and Alice Springs however – these areas are “a whopping 71% less likely to be chasing companionship compared to the national average,” says eHarmony.
