Miley Cyrus Responds To Teen's Prom Invite
Although Miley Cyrus declined an Arizona teen's invite to what he promises would be the "best night" of her life, she did try to make it up to him.
Matt Peterson, an Arcadia High School student from Phoenix, created the video to ask his favourite female star to be his date to prom when her Bangerz Tour hits town. He even went to the trouble of dressing up (or in this case, undressing) for Miley, popping the question wearing nothing but a giant foam finger à la the singer's 2013 MTV VMAs performance, holding a bouquet of roses. "I have been a fan of yours from the beginning," he said in the video description. "You've changed my life and I want to repay you by giving you the best night of your life."
Despite his best efforts, Miley declined the teenager's invitation via Twitter. She tweeted on Sunday, "Dear Matt Peterson, I don't think I'll be able to make it to prom."
Letting her admirer down gently, the Wrecking Ball singer offered an alternative to prom. "BUT why don't you come to my AZ show & hang w me? Don't forget a corsage," Miley added.
Miley's response was far from disappointing for Matt, as he replied, "I need a tongue tuxedo made by the 27th. THIS IS THE BEST DAY OF MY WHOLE ENTIRE LIFE!!! #mileyprom. (sic)"
