Yahoo Lifestyle Yes, Being a Libra Rising Does Actually Make You a "Quality Person"
I've been an avid viewer of The White Lotus since season 1 so I can confidently say that I relate to Chloe. I know given this week's episode, that's a helluva statement, but stay with me. It's mostly to do with her being a Libra Rising.
After Chloe told Chelsea that she had a threesome with brothers Lochlan (Sam Nivola) and Saxon (Patrick Schwarzenegger), Chelsea consoles her friend by saying, “You're a Libra Rising for God's sake, that makes you a quality person.” As a Libra Rising myself, this struck me. I'm biased, of course, but I wondered: Is this true? I felt like I could see and understand Chloe's spirit on a deeper level and couldn’t help but feel a natural affinity to her character.
Your Rising sign is the essence of what you project into the world; it dictates your personality, describes what people first notice about you, and gives insight into what you want people to perceive about you. In the case of Chloe, her Libra Rising-ness is strong. The Air sign is known for loving glamour, swanky ambiances, and generally anything beautiful. Anyone with this sign in their Big Three typically has a way of bringing these vibes into the world themselves, whether it be through fashion (Chloe's aesthetic is divine), hosting, or the gifts they give, to name a few. Although I’m not in the same financial bracket as Chloe, I get her desire to be surrounded by attractive things.
Libra Risings are also known players because Venus, one of the love planets, rules them. Once we set our sights on somebody worth crushing on, we turn on the charm. Which brings me to the way Chloe flirts her way into cheating on Greg/Gary (lol). I personally cannot relate to having a threesome with two brothers (I'm much too prudish for that, but so is 99.9% of the population), but I can understand being stuck in a relationship and scared to leave it for whatever reason. I see this act of infidelity as Chloe's way out. I mean, who hasn't misbehaved to seek freedom or to get an ex's attention? I know I have.
Contrary to popular belief, Libra Risings aren’t afraid of confrontation so Chloe acting out this way isn't too surprising, after all, Aries rules our seventh house (aka the house of partnerships and relationships), so Libra Risings do occasionally stir the pot—it’s the catalyst for drama and winning the battle. We also can be wishy-washy in our actions, so Chloe's indecisive about how to proceed with Greg/Gary is textbook Libra Rising. True to form, this is why she agrees to assist him in whatever he has planned, even if it’s suspect. All that said, even though Libra Risings can instigate conflict, in this case, I still can understand Chloe’s desperation to make her situation work.
Relationships—whether romantic, platonic, or familial—are essential to Libra Risings, and we live for deep, interpersonal connections. Like Chloe, I jump into friendships, especially when the vibe is right. Since Aries rules our house of relationships, it’s important to note that she’s drawn to Chelsea, who is an ideal friend for her. They become pals quickly and share intimate secrets, a fast alliance considering they’ve only known each other for a few days. Of course, I’ve felt that way before, even when meeting someone on vacation; the mood is chill and drinking cocktails by the pool is better with someone to gossip to. It makes so much sense to me that Chloe would confide in Chelsea about such a significant relationship decision.
The ultimate question is: Despite her moral tra Is Chloe a "quality person" because she's a Libra Risings quality people?” At the core, I think she is. Usually, Libra Risings are diplomatic, hospitable, and endearing, and Chloe seems to be that so far. Unfortunately, she is in a complicated relationship full of manipulation and power struggles, so while I can't predict have no idea what Chloe’s motives are or if she’ll wind up being the “killer” this season. UAs you know, Greg/Gary can do wonders on the psyche of others through gaslighting and deception…stay tuned to see what happens.
