Yellowjackets Ups the Eerie Factor With Season 3 Ritual — 2025 FIRST LOOK (Exclusive)
We’ll admit it: We’re not sure exactly what is going on in this exclusive first look at Yellowjackets‘ upcoming third season. But we’ll also admit this: The image makes us highly uneasy.
Can you blame us? The last time we checked in with the stranded soccer players at the center of the Paramount Plus with Showtime drama, they’d nearly beaten one of their own — Lottie — to death. When she recovered, she declared that the spirits of the wilderness around them had spoken to her and declared that Natalie should be their leader. Not long after, the crash survivors were forced from their cabin when it started to burn; as they watched, helpless, it collapsed in flames. (Read a full recap of the finale here.)

TVLine’s month-long #2025FirstLook series continues with this new shot from Season 3, which seems to find the young women (and Travis) in the show’s flashback storyline engaging in some kind of nighttime ritual in the woods. They’re dressed in robes and bedecked with greens. They all sort of look like they don’t know what’s about to happen. It appears that they’ve launched lanterns, which… wait, did they make those out of nothing? These kids are crafty! And are they playing with fire, after [waves hands] everything?!
Yellowjackets Mysteries: An Up-to-Date List of the Series’ Biggest Questions (and Answers?)
The show’s long-awaited return will take place on Friday, Feb. 14, 2025, and will consist of two episodes that will be available to stream on Paramount+ (for subscribers with the Paramount+ with Showtime plan) and on demand; the episodes will air on the cable network on Sunday, Feb. 16. Of note: Season 3 will feature appearances by Hilary Swank (Alaska Daily) and Joel McHale (Community), both of whom are playing mystery roles.
