Yahoo Lifestyle 'WTCH' Fans Love Seeing Nathan Stand By Elizabeth in Emotional Promo
Hope Valley is feeling a little bleak right now, and one of the characters is here to try and be a pillar of strength.
When Calls the Heart is about to wrap up season 12 on Hallmark, and the storyline that's currently pulling on heartstrings involves none other than Elizabeth Thornton (Erin Krakow)'s son, Little Jack (Hyland Goodrich). In a new promo for the March 16 episode, folks got a sneak peek at Elizabeth trying to save her son amid his life-threatening diabetes diagnosis. As the show takes place in the 1920s, Elizabeth is unsure if there will be a cure for her son. She has partner Nathan Grant (Kevin McGarry) right beside her throughout the ordeal... but he's feeling helpless watching those he loves suffer.
"I just feel... powerless," Nathan tells Bill Avery (Jack Wagner) in the preview clip posted on Instagram.
"Your job is to be there when it counts," Bill replies. "It looks like you're doing a pretty good job to me."
When fans saw how Nathan was choosing to stick by Elizabeth and Jack during his medical crisis, fans couldn't help but get emotional for what's to come.
"How many tissue boxes are we going to need?? 😭🤧🤧🤧," one person wrote in the comments. "😭 Nathan is Elizabeth's rock!" another penned. "So glad Nathan is there for Elizabeth and Jack 🥺," a different follower replied.
While we'll have to tune in and see what Little Jack's eventual prognosis will be, we love how Nathan is stepping up for Elizabeth during such a tough moment in her life. And if there's one thing we know about When Calls the Heart, it's that Elizabeth is not alone. She'll have everyone in Hope Valley supporting her through this... and they may be able to help her in ways she never saw coming.
As for Nathan and Elizabeth's romance in WCTH, we know these two are finally together after spending so much time in the friend zone. And if the couple can be there for each other through their darkest moments, we can only imagine what could be when they're both at their best.
