Women lose it over ridiculously high-cut 'front wedgie' bodysuit

Given the recent trend of extremely high-cut swimwear, it’s no surprise the idea has now transferred to other parts of our wardrobes.

This time, it’s a ridiculously high-waisted bodysuit (which you would normally wear with a skirt or pants) that has gone viral, with women online losing it over how uncomfortable and impractical it looks.

One mum took to parenting forum Mumsnet after spotting an advertisement for the ‘front thong bodysuit’ on her social media.

She shared the product on a thread asking if she was being unreasonable for thinking ‘this is the most bizarre item of clothing?’

“It popped up as an ad on my Facebook. I understand the bodysuit trends, but surely this would result in being split entirely in two, or the world’s worst front wedgie,” she wrote.

The bodysuit is being sold on Boohoo.com for around $15 AUD, but most people described the look as “disturbing”, “eye-watering” and a “crime against humanity”.

Front. Thong. Two words that should never be linked together,” one person pointed out.

“Only someone who hates their fanny would wear it,” another said.

“God your undercarriage would engulf that in under a minute,” another woman commented.

Others pointed out the possibility of chafing, or having to deal with a camel toe.

And some even wondered if the model wearing the outfit had been photoshopped.

“She looks like a barbie with no genitalia,” one person commented.

“They really photoshopped the f** out of that. She’s completely flat,” another pointed out.

And others were so confused by the concept of a ‘front’ thong they wondered if the model was wearing the outfit backwards.

“She’s clearly wearing it backwards,” was one response.

It’s not the first seriously high-waisted piece of clothing that’s being doing the rounds online.

About a month ago, a new bikini from Beginning Boutique got a lot of attention from followers due to its risque design.

And revealing swimsuits were not far behind, with a nude one piece from UK fashion brand Oh Polly leaving little to the imagination.

We even had one brave reporter dare to bare it all, when trying out Black Swallow’s racy hot pink high-cut swimsuit for a day at the beach.

To be honest, I felt very Olivia Newton-John a la Physical but without the modesty of leggings and a shrug,” our reporter Louise admitted.
