Will Harry and Meghan break royal birthing protocol?

With Prince Harry and Meghan Markle excitedly expecting their first child next year, speculation has been swirling around whether the parents to be will follow all the royal protocols — especially Prince William and Kate Middleton didn’t.

When Prince George, five, was born in 2013, Kensington Palace announcing his birth, revealing only his gender.

Instead, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge waited two days before revealing his name publicly.

They did the same with Princess Charlotte, three, and six-month-old Louis.

It was a move that had never been done before and could well be adopted by Harry and Meghan next Autumn when their bub arrives.

But while nothing is officially set in stone just yet, one detail that seems pretty certain is that Meghan, 37, will give birth in the Lindo Wing at St Mary’s hospital.

Princess Diana gave birth to both Will and Harry there and is sure to be a tradition the new dad would want to maintain.

Kate and her sister Pippa Middleton have since gone on to follow in her footsteps, giving birth there too.

Sportsbet are currently offering 9.00 odds that the pair — who married in May — will name their baby Diana after his late mum who died in 1997.
