Yahoo Lifestyle Kylie Jenner Has Avoided Discussing Timothée Chalamet On “The Kardashians,” And This Report Might Explain Why
Last Friday, Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet were seen together in public for the first time in months, reassuring fans that their relationship is still going strong.
Their recent LA date night marked the first time that the pair — who were first linked in April 2023 — have been seen together since January, when Kylie supported Timothée at the Golden Globe awards where he was nominated for Wonka.
The stretch of time they weren’t seen together left some wondering if they may have quietly called it quits. And the speculation was made all the more intriguing by the fact that Timothée has been entirely left out of The Kardashians.
In case you’ve not been watching, Kylie has not mentioned her boyfriend on the show once — even though the current season began filming in September when she and Timothée were at their most public.
For example, Episode 1 of this season documented Kylie’s trip to Paris in late September, only a few weeks after she and Timothée were seen kissing for the first time at a Beyoncé show. While discussing what she did in the French capital, Kylie omitted any mention of Timmy, even though she was photographed with him on the trip.
Then, in last week’s episode, Kylie gushed about how much fun she had at her family’s Christmas Eve party and, once again, failed to acknowledge that Timothée was seemingly in attendance, too.
The actor’s absence and no mention of him on the show is notably different than Kylie’s past relationships. Tyga appeared on Keeping Up with the Kardashians numerous times while they were dating between 2014 and 2017. Meanwhile, Kylie’s most recent ex and the father of her two children, Travis Scott, never actually appeared on the show but was often referred to.
Kylie later said Travis’s physical absence on the show was his decision.
Of course, Kylie has a right to privacy, and it’s nothing new for the Jenner sisters to be more low-key on the family’s show. However, it’s intriguing to many that Kylie seemingly avoids acknowledging her relationship with Timothée — both on the show and in interviews.
When Timothée was mentioned during Kylie’s interview with the New York Times in March, she notably told the outlet, “I don’t know how I feel about that. I just don’t want to talk about personal things.”
And now, new reports have shed more light on Kylie’s approach to the romance, claiming that it’s important to her to keep things away from the public eye.
“Kylie is protective of the relationship, but whenever she talks about him, she has a huge smile,” an insider told People off the back of their outing on Friday. “She really likes so many things about him.”
“Things are great with Timothée. Kylie is happy,” the source added, noting their busy schedules.
“They are both busy, but making time to see each other, especially on the weekends. He’s been working in NYC. She’s visited him and he’s also been back to LA some weekends. They’re making it work,” they said.
So, with only four episodes left to go before the end of the current season of The Kardashians, something tells me we might not be getting that Timmy cameo after all.
