Why Meghan Markle's sister hasn't spoken to her for 10 years
Meghan Markle is said to be firm friends with Prince Harry’s sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, but it’s now been revealed why the actress hasn’t spoken to her own sister in 10 years.
Since the Suits star's relationship with Prince Harry was made official, her half-sister, Samantha Grant, has publicly called her a “self-obsessed” social climber.
And now she’s explained that over the past decade, Meghan got 'very busy' and they 'drifted apart'.
“I felt that we had drifted apart,” Samantha told the Daily Mail.
“In retrospect, when I search my heart, maybe she just got very busy.”
The mother-of-three admitted last year that she hasn’t seen her half-sister since 2008.
Samantha is the daughter of 72-year-old Thomas Markle, who is Meghan's dad.
He is said to be furious and “deeply wounded” by the comments Samantha is making about Meghan.
Things are set to be even more sense between Samantha and the rest of the family, as she prepares to release her book, The Diary of Princess Pushy’s Sister, which will detail their tumultuous relationship.
Samantha’s comments come just after it was revealed that she’s due to appear in an ITV documentary called Prince Harry and Meghan: Truly, Madly, Deeply.
In it she speaks about their upbringing and denies that there was any bi-racial tension in the family.
"We were raised in a very beautiful upper-middle class home in the San Fernando Valley of southern California, nowhere near 'gangland',” she is said to reveal in the documentary, according to Nine Honey.
