Whoopi Goldberg Gave An Iconic Explanation On Why She's Single And It's Going Viral

Get in, loser. Whoopi Goldberg is back with another stellar take on why she's single.

You may recall that, in 2016, Whoopi said that she didn't want to get married because she doesn't "want somebody in my house." This quote has been rattling around the trash can I call a brain ever since, especially given that Whoopi has been married three times.

Earlier this year, the EGOT winner made the following joke about her love life: "One of the last relationships I had, he was 40 years older than me." Some would say this is especially impressive given that Whoopi is 69 years old (it was likely a 90-year-old billionaire).

On a Tuesday episode of The View, Whoopi discussed an article in the Atlantic titled "The Slow, Quiet Demise of American Romance," which explores why many women are opting out of dating.

"We've been hearing a lot about how men haven't been able to find the women they've wanted, and how hard it is for guys. I just want to say [that] perhaps it's not that romance is dead. Perhaps you're looking for things that are not in your lane. You've decided that the women you're looking at are not good enough, or they're not pretty enough," she said, urging people to actually "talk to women about who they are."

"But again, don't listen to me, because I don't live with another human being," she added.

Elsewhere in the segment, Whoopi addressed what she is into: "For me, I like a hit-and-run because I am not interested in a committed relationship.”

When co-host Sara Haines interjected, "The guys'll love that," Whoopi then replied, "They do!"
