Adele helps female fan propose to her boyfriend

Only Adele could get away with bullying a couple into getting engaged.

The singer celebrated the first night of her world tour by helping a female fan take the plunge and ask her boyfriend to marry her.

February 29 is known as the one day (every four years) where women can pop the question although things didn’t go exactly to plan for this Irish couple.

During Monday’s show at Belfast's SSE Arena the 27-year-old Hello singer called a fan on stage, who went on to tell Adele and the crowd she had asked her man to marry her earlier that day and he had replied "maybe in a little while."

The 11,000-strong audience started to boo and chant 'Come on Neil' before Neil eventually agreed.
