Selena Gomez Responds To Body Shamers

Selena Gomez has no room in her life for haters.

After negative comments cropped up online after the star was photographed rocking a skimpy two-piece while hanging out with her friends on the beach in Mexico on Sunday, Gomez, 22, took to Instagram to shut down the body shamers.

"It's never really been an issue for her," says a Gomez source about the attention on her body. "She's really happy with herself."

Indeed, the "I Want You to Know" singer flaunted her figure in several more bikinis – including a cute polka dot print two-piece that she paired with shorts – while splashing around with her friends in the water.

The trip to Puerto Vallarta was both work and play for the actress, who just finished shooting In Dubious Battle – her second film with James Franco – and is now focusing on finishing her next album.

"She's in a really great place," says the source. "She's very excited about her new music, and she just had a great time in Mexico with her girlfriends. Everything is really good right now."
