As the Kate Middleton topless photo scandal continues to churn on (with even more photos being published in Italian magazine Chi), the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were still all smiles as they continued their royal tour of Asia and the Pacific, landing in Tavanipupu on Monday for another elaborate royal greeting including a ceremonial dance from topless dancers in which Prince William and Middleton couldn't help but find humour in the ironic.

Wearing her hair au naturel and sporting a sleek navy dress by Mulberry, Middleton and Prince William (sporting pink) made their way to Tavanipupu by dugout canoe after a busy day meeting spear-carrying painted tribesmen and women’s groups.

After spending the day among locals, the royal couple enjoyed some private time where they spent the night in one of the island's eight private bungalows, featuring an outdoor shower on the island. "People who have wanted to bring private chefs, fly in furniture and so on, but the Duke and Duchess are so down to earth. They haven’t asked for one thing," island co-owner Mrs. Kimberly revealed about the low-key couple.

Over the weekend, the royal pair explored Borneo, even getting strapped into harnesses for a view of the rainforest. From there, they moved on to the Solomon Islands, and today, they headed to Tavanipupu, a tiny island that's part of the Guadacanal region where they will spend the last two days of their 9-day-tour before returning to Britain.
