Whitney Leavitt is opening up about her regrets surrounding The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.

During an episode of The Squeeze podcast on Sept. 24, the mom of three, 31, addressed many of the controversies that have come up following the premiere of the Hulu series, which painted her as the “villain” of the group of MomTokers.

While talking with hosts Tay and Taylor Lautner, she revealed that she has only watched the show once, however, her husband "refuses" to watch because of “what it did to [her],” noting how she struggled mentally following the premiere.

"He's like, I think, you know, healthy boundary. I'm not gonna watch it," she explained of her husband's decision not to tune in. "But, of course, I told him everything happened in the show, so it's almost like he did watch it."

During the show, the ongoing tension between Whitney and fellow MomTok members Taylor Frankie Paul and Mayci Neely escalated after Whitney skipped out on her Baby Mama launch. These events ultimately led Whitney to leave MomTok at the end of the season.

During the podcast, Whitney opened up about the regrets she had from doing the show, noting that some of the events shown on the series “put [her] in a dark place” and “made it hard to watch [back].”

“There were decisions that I made during that show that nobody asked me to do,” she explained. “Like, I willingly did that, but there was no context behind why I had made certain decisions. But again, that's that's the game, I guess.”

Despite her initial regrets about the season, she explained that “at the end of the day, you have your free agency.”

“Every decision I made, whether I felt like it was expected of me, I still made it,” she added.

Following the show's premiere on Sept. 6, Whitney embraced the “villain” label in a series of TikTok videos. However, despite how it looked on social media, Whitney recalled being in a “dark place” after the show’s premiere.

“I received a massive amount of hate before in the past with Liam being in the hospital,” she said, referring to the controversial TikTok dance she posted back in January 2022 while her son was hospitalized for RSV. “So I feel like I've been able to deal with that better, but it was more so from my other friends. It was that hate that was probably the hardest to see.”

Even after leaving MomTok at the end of the season, Whitney clarified that she has “no ill feelings” towards the rest of the members and remains close to Taylor and Mayci.

“I think that all of them have such wonderful stories,” she said. ”I'm excited for more seasons to go on because there were a lot of personal stories that were cut out from the show that are very strong, and I know a lot of other people can relate to. I wish them the best.”
