The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Whitney Leavitt shocked viewers when she put her positive pregnancy test inside a cake to surprise her family, and now she's revealing what they ended up doing with the dessert.

In an interview with The Cut published on Sept. 26, Whitney revealed that she and her family "definitely ate the cake" after she revealed the news about her pregnancy.

"I Cloroxed the heck out of it before putting it in the cake," she explained. "It was clean."

On The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Whitney explained she wanted to do "something creative" to tell her family that she was pregnant and decided to put the actual pregnancy test inside a cake for them to find.

"I didn't think it thoroughly, clearly," she said. "But the lid is on, so there's that."

In the scene, some of her family members were not happy about the pregnancy test in the cake. While speaking with The Cut, Whitney noted that she totally understood why people were disgusted when they saw it.

"Maybe people tried to stay away and not eat the pieces surrounding the test," she continued. "But that cake was good. So yeah, we did eat the cake."

The moment with the cake was only one of the controversial moments Whitney faced during the show. During the interview, she also addressed being painted as the villain on the series, noting, "No one can make you do something or say something on the show; these were choices that I willingly made."

"As far as leaning into this quote-unquote villain era, I mean, yeah, I didn’t love what I watched of myself either," she explained. "So much was going on in my personal life. So when the show came out, I thought it was so funny that I had been labeled as this villain, so I was poking fun at it. But I don’t think I’m the villain."

Whitney also opened up about her regrets from the season during The Squeeze podcast with Tay and Taylor Lautner on Sept. 24, saying that some of the show was “hard to watch [back]."

“There were decisions that I made during that show that nobody asked me to do,” she explained. “Like, I willingly did that, but there was no context behind why I had made certain decisions. But again, that's that's the game, I guess.”

Despite jokingly embracing the "villain edit" online after the series premiered, Whitney said she was actually "in a dark place” while watching it back.

“I received a massive amount of hate before in the past with Liam being in the hospital,” she said in reference to the TikTok dance she posted while her son was hospitalized with RSV in 2022. “So I feel like I've been able to deal with that better, but it was more so from my other friends. It was that hate that was probably the hardest to see.”

However, despite the drama that went down between her and the rest of MomTok, Whitney said that she is "excited for more seasons to go on because there were a lot of personal stories that were cut out from the show" and wished everyone the best.
