Yahoo Lifestyle 'The White Lotus' Season 3 Features a Surprise Voice Cameo From an Oscar-Winning Actor
The White Lotus loves a good mystery. Tucked into this week's episode was a familiar voice that had many viewers going, "Wait, where do I know him from?"
The voice, heard over the phone in a conversation with Jason Isaac's character, Timothy Ratliff, belonged to a very big star indeed.
Who plays Kenny in The White Lotus?
Ke Huy Quan, who took home a best supporting actor Oscar for his role in Everything Everywhere All at Once, is the voice of Kenny. If you haven't seen EEAAO (in which case, what were you doing in 2022?) but still recognized the phone caller's unmistakable vocals, it's probably because Quan, who rose to fame in the '80s, was also in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and The Goonies, two classic movies.
His current comeback also includes roles in Marvel's Loki (2023) and Love Hurts, which is out this month.
In The White Lotus, he's playing Timothy's corrupt business associate with whom he laundered money; they're now the subject of an FBI investigation.
It's unclear at this point whether Quan will actually appear in the series or if he's only lending his voice to it. Laura Dern previously made a voice-only appearance in Season 2, playing the estranged wife of Michael Imperioli's character, Dominic Di Grasso. Looks like we've got a White Lotus tradition on our hands!
