The first season of the HBO anthology series created by Mike White, takes place at the luxury White Lotus resort in Hawaii. Over the course of a week, a group of guests — including Jennifer Coolidge as the solo traveler Tanya McQuoid — grapple with their own personal dramas and become entangled in one another’s. Other season 1 stars include Friday Night Lights’ Connie Britton and Euphoria’s Sydney Sweeney.
Season 2 introduced a new cast (save for Coolidge, who reprised her role as Tanya) and a new location — the White Lotus in Sicily. Breakout star Meghann Fahy plays Daphne Sullivan, who’s on vacation with her husband, Cameron (Theo James), and another couple, Harper (Aubrey Plaza) and Ethan Spiller (Will Sharpe).
Meanwhile, season 3, which premiered on Feb. 16, takes place at the White Lotus Thailand and follows yet another new cast, aside from season 1's Natasha Rothwell who reprised her role as Belinda Lindsey. Michelle Monaghan plays Jaclyn, who is on a girl's trip with two other women; meanwhile, Harry Potter's Jason Isaacs portrays Timothy Ratliff, a wealthy businessman on vacation with his wife and three children.

Jennifer Coolidge plays wealthy traveler Tanya McQuoid. In season 1, she’s mourning the death of her mother at the White Lotus in Hawaii; in season 2, Tanya travels to Sicily with her husband, Greg, and her personal assistant, Portia.
Coolidge is a character actress known for roles like Jeanine Stifler, or "Stifler's mom," in the teen comedy American Pie (1999) and Paulette Bonafonté in Legally Blonde (2001).
Her role as Tanya McQuoid in The White Lotus earned her a Primetime Emmy Award and a Golden Globe — and sparked a resurgence in the actor’s career.
Murray Bartlett as Armond

The actor, who was raised in Vermont, previously played Pete Miller in the final season of The Office and Hannah Horvath’s love interest on HBO’s Girls. Lacy’s film credits include Obvious Child (2014), Carol (2015) and Being the Ricardos (2021).
For his role in The White Lotus, Lacy received an Emmy nomination in 2022 for outstanding supporting actor in a limited or anthology series or movie.
As for his personal life, Lacy married Lauren Deleo in 2015. They have two children.
Natasha Rothwell as Belinda Lindsey

The actress, born in Wichita, Kan., got her start as a writer on Saturday Night Live season 40 (2014–2015). She later starred in HBO’s Insecure, on which she also served as a writer and producer.
Rothwell’s performance in The White Lotus season 1 earned her an Emmy nomination for outstanding supporting actress in a limited or anthology series or movie in 2022.
Following in Coolidge's footsteps, Rothwell will reprise her role as Belinda in season 3, which is set in Thailand.
"[Belinda] is still working at the White Lotus, and she's in Thailand doing sort of an exchange program to learn more about the wellness programs that the Thailand White Lotus offers," she told Entertainment Weekly in December 2024.
Lukas Gage as Dillon

Born in San Diego, Gage has appeared in the mockumentary series American Vandal, the thriller series You and Euphoria. He also starred in the film Assassination Nation (2018), written and directed by Euphoria creator Sam Levinson.

Jon Gries as Greg Hunt

The Italian actress previously appeared in films like The Passion of the Christ (2004), Napoleon and Me (2006) and There’s No Place Like Home (2018). The White Lotus marked her first major credit in the U.S.
“It was all beyond my expectations, but it definitely lived up to my dreams,” Impacciatore said of her breakout role in a 2022 interview with The Hollywood Reporter. “Being part of this project was a big, enormous chance for me. Because I was finally able to truly see things that, here in Italy, [otherwise] just wouldn’t be possible.”
Meghann Fahy as Daphne Sullivan

The actress got her start playing Natalie Goodman in the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical Next to Normal from 2010 to 2011. She’s also known for her role as Sutton Brady in the Freeform drama series The Bold Type (2017–2021). Her other TV credits include One Life to Live, Gossip Girl, Necessary Roughness and Chicago Fire.

Before landing her breakout role as dry-witted parks department employee April Ludgate on Parks and Recreation, Plaza appeared in comedy films like Scott Pilgrim vs. the World and Mystery Team, both released in 2009. She later starred in Safety Not Guaranteed (2015), Ingrid Goes West (2017) and Emily the Criminal (2022).
In her personal life, Plaza was married to writer and director Jeff Baena for nearly three years before his sudden death. Baena died by suicide on Jan. 3, 2025.
Will Sharpe as Ethan Spiller

In 2021, Sharpe directed and co-wrote the biographical comedy-drama film The Electrical Life of Louis Wain, which starred Benedict Cumberbatch.
