White Lotus’ Aimee Lou Wood Calls SNL Spoof ‘Mean’ and ‘Cheap’ — Watch and Weigh In
Like Walton Goggins’ White Lotus character, Aimee Lou Wood is fixating on the love she didn’t get from NBC’s Saturday Night Live.
The actress took to social media Sunday morning to share her reaction to the show’s spoof of her White Lotus character during the April 12 episode hosted by Jon Hamm. The sketch sees Sarah Sherman imitating Wood’s Chelsea, cartoonishly wide-eyed, donned in large false teeth and speaking in a thick accent.

“I did find the SNL thing mean and unfunny,” Wood wrote in her Instagram stories.
“Such a shame [because] I had such a great time watching it a couple weeks ago,” she added in another slide. “Yes, take the piss for sure — that’s what the show is about — but there must be a cleverer, more nuanced, less cheap way?”
TVLine has reached out to NBC for comment.
The pre-taped sketch titled “White POTUS” imagined Donald Trump and his family enjoying a Thai vacation on the hit HBO series. James Austin Johnson’s Donald filled the role of Jason Isaacs’ Timothy, despondent over crashing the U.S. economy with his tariffs and turning to McDonald’s chicken nuggets to ease the pain.
Watch the sketch below, then hit the comments with your take: Did SNL take the joke too far?
