Yahoo Lifestyle 'Wheel of Fortune' Fans Can't Get Over Viral Answer: "My Worst Nightmare"
It's been a while since we've had a viral puzzle solve on Wheel of Fortune, but, thanks to contestant Nikol, we're so back!
On the March 25 episode of the game show, Nikol was presented with what seemed like a dream scenario, but it turned out to be a nightmare. When it was her turn to solve, the contestant had the opportunity to solve a puzzle with just one letter missing.
The category was Song Lyrics, and, with 12 words, it was a long puzzle. The answer had 12 Es, giving Ryan Seacrest the opportunity to crack some jokes as Vanna White revealed them and said, "I'm exhausted!"
When it came time for Nikol to spin the wheel, she filled in two spots and had just one letter missing: SEE THE LINE WHERE THE S-Y MEETS THE SEA IT CALLS ME.
Ryan had reminded the contestant that there were no more vowels, yet Nikol filled in the missing letter with an O to spell "SOY." She immediately gasped, put her hands to her head, and said, "Oh my God!" The next contestant quickly answered with the line from the famous song "How Far I'll Go" from Moana.
Ryan and Vanna agreed that the puzzle had the most letters they've ever seen on a board, but viewers were more interested in Nikol's incorrect response. The official Wheel of Fortune account shared a clip on Instagram with the caption, "That scream you hear is Nikol's soul leaving her body... 💀"
