Here's what to expect from the new look Big Brother

Six years after it wrapped up Down Under, Big Brother will be returning to our screens in 2020 with a whole new look and feel.

Moving from Network 10 to Seven is only the first of the changes, and if the video played at the Seven Upfronts on Wednesday is anything to go by, the new Big Brother will be weaving in a decidedly Survivor-like flavour.

Clips from international versions of the franchise showed contestants sweating it out in physical challenges and voting against each other in a ‘tribal council’ like setting.

One shot sees the housemates running through an elaborate obstacle course, while in another they’re laying in boxes beside spitting flames. In a third, very dramatic scene, the stars are gathered together on a ‘jury’ and need to vote to evict.

Both challenges and contestant-voted eviction featured in the earlier versions of the show in Australia, but this looks to be on a whole new level.
