Wendy's introduces 2 new Frosty variations: What to know about Frosty Swirls, Frosty Fusions
Wendy's is giving customers new ways to customize its popular Frosty dessert.
The fast food chain announced Thursday the introduction of Frosty Swirls, which feature new sauces and Frosty Fusions, including sauces and mix-ins such as Pop-Tarts and Oreo cookies.
Frosty Swirls will debut exclusively in the Wendy's app beginning April 11 and will be available in restaurants nationwide starting April 15, according to the company. Frosty Fusions will debut nationwide beginning May 12.
According to Wendy's, Frosty Swirls starts with choosing one of three sauces swirled with a smooth classic Vanilla or Chocolate Frosty:
Strawberry Frosty Swirl
Caramel Frosty Swirl
Brownie Batter Swirl
Frosty Fusions on the other hand allow fans to add a sauce, in addition to mix-ins, for "extra flavor to the silky smooth Vanilla or Chocolate Frosty," according to Wendy's. The three flavors that will be available beginning in May include:
Pop-Tarts Strawberry Frosty Fusion: Combines Wendy's Frosty and sweet strawberry sauce with chunks of strawberry-flavored Pop-Tarts Crunch Poppers pieces.
Oreo Brownie Frosty Fusion: Features the classic Frosty swirled with the chocolatey Brownie Batter sauce mixed with crunchy Oreo cookie pieces.
Caramel Crunch Frosty Fusion: Blends the classic Frosty with crunchy toffee pieces and a sweet caramel sauce.
"We know consumers are always on the lookout for new flavors and ways to customize their order with sauces and mix-ins. We can't wait for everyone to experience even more ways to enjoy our iconic Frosty!" said Lindsay Radkoski, U.S. chief marketing officer for Wendy's.
Is the Thin Mints Frosty still available at Wendy's?
While the new Frosty varieties arrive, another popular limited-time Frosty flavor is on its way out.
Wendy's confirmed to USA TODAY Thursday that the final day to get a Thin Mints Frosty is Monday, April 14, both in restaurants and in the Wendy's app.
The Girl Scout Cookie-themed dessert debuted on Wendy's menus on Feb. 21, the same day Girl Scout Cookies were made available to be purchased.
According to Wendy's, the dessert combines a classic chocolate or vanilla Frosty swirled and topped with a rich and minty cookie crumble sauce inspired by the popular Girl Scout cookie flavor.
