Former Welcome to Plathville star, Max Kallschmidt, is officially a dad!
On Thursday, July 4, Moriah Plath's ex-boyfriend took to Instagram to announce that he and his wife, Mckayle Buckley, welcomed their first child together.
"Kaptain Clay Kallschmidt ~ my freedom baby 🇺🇸," Kallschmidt and Buckley wrote in a joint update, which has since been removed. "I love you already Kaptain 💛🥰 The best 4th of July present 🎇."
In the featured photo, the newborn baby boy snoozed peacefully while dressed in a white long-sleeved bodysuit and sucking on a pacifier inside a bassinet. Other images in the post showed him swaddled in a blanket, the proud parents posing with their son and Buckley's daughter from a previous relationship, Esther, holding her baby brother.

In the comments, Instagram users congratulated Kallschmidt and Buckley on their new arrival. One wrote, "He’s so so handsome 🥺🥺😭😭 I’m so happy for you and so so proud of you kaylee 💖💖."
Another person commented, "Perfection congrats!!!!!! 🥺🥺🥺🥺," while someone else declared, "Omg congrats you guys!! 🥹😍."
Welcome to Plathville fans followed Kallschmidt and Moriah's relationship starting in Season 2 of the TLC series. By the end of Season 3, he gave her a promise ring—but Moriah revealed they had split in November 2021 in Season 4 of the reality show. Kallschmidt later confessed he had been unfaithful.
In January 2024, Kallschmidt and Buckley made their marriage Instagram official with Kallschmidt declaring, "I married my best friend."
It's unclear whether Moriah is currently dating; she has not announced a new relationship on social media, as of writing.
