Watch the“ Suits LA” stars suit up behind the scenes of EW's cover shoot

A new legal team is suiting up for Suits LA — and they look goddamn good.

While the Suits spinoff doesn't premiere until February, stars Stephen Amell, Bryan Greenberg, Lex Scott Davis, and Josh McDermitt took Entertainment Weekly behind the scenes on set for our cover shoot to introduce their new show. The actors welcomed EW into their trailers as they got ready in their characters' (very expensive) suits and explained who they're each playing in the NBC legal drama, which is set in the same universe as the original series.

Arrow and Heels alum Amell stars as Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor from New York who has reinvented himself as an entertainment lawyer in Los Angeles representing some of Hollywood’s most A-list clients, including Tom Hanks, Matt Damon, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Denzel Washington. "I wouldn't say I'm power hungry, but I'm powerful," Amell says. "My character has a history with one of the characters from the original series — we came up together in the D.A.'s office."

Ted works side-by-side with his longtime friend Stuart Lane (The Walking Dead's McDermitt) after starting the Black Lane law firm together 15 years ago. "He's a guy you don't want to cross," McDermitt says. "But if he's on your side ... he's the guy you want on your side, you know what I mean?"

One Tree Hill alum Greenberg plays Rick Dodsen, whom he describes as the "moral compass of the show" who sometimes butts heads with his boss Ted. The actor proudly shows off his character's Dior tie before struggling to knot it correctly (eventually costumer Jocelyn Kuan steps in to help fix it). "I can't do this," he admits with a laugh.

As for Rick's main competition at the firm, meet Erica Rollins, played by Davis. At the start of the series, Erica and Rick are fighting for the same promotion to become head of entertainment, and Erica won't back down from a challenge. "Erica can be seen as a little uptight," Davis says. "But she is loyal, she is very confident in what she does, and she cares deeply about her clients and cares deeply about Ted."
