"I have a painting in my attic — I call it ‘my attic’ — … just of a rotting, old, decrepit taint," Rudd joked.

Jon Stewart couldn’t help but(t) crack during a ridiculously cheeky conversation with Paul Rudd about the perineum.

Monday night’s episode of The Daily Show began with Stewart jokingly threatening to give Rudd an “infection of the perineum” during their interview. “I should explain. We come out early, I do a little warm-up with the audience, and for some unknown reason — it really was not prompted — I was trying to discuss the relationship between asthma medication and a side effect of an infection of the perineum,” the host revealed. “Unfortunately, I have no one in the audience who was able to satisfy my curiosity on that.”

But he did have a guest who could. Rudd entered the show's set for his interview as if he were in extreme physical pain, with his mouth scrunched up and Stewart having to come to his aid to guide him slowly to his chair. “I’m sorry, Jon, I’m on this new medication,” Rudd confessed after he took a seat. “My perineum is on fire.”

Stewart then praised him for his agonizing perineum performance. “By the time you were done, my perineum hurt. That’s how powerful it was,” the host said. To which Rudd replied, “That’s good acting… or is it acting?”

Leaning into the popular theory that Rudd, 55, never actually ages, Stewart then asked if the Ant-Man actor’s perineum was the one part of his body that was “corroding” over the years. “You know The Portrait of Dorian Grey?” Rudd asked, a reference to Oscar Wilde’s 1890 novel in which the titular character is kept youthful while his portrait ages.

Stewart immediately broke at the reference, bursting into laughter as he jumped out of his chair and took a few steps around the news desk before taking a seat again. “I have a painting in my attic — I call it ‘my attic’ — … just of a rotting, old, decrepit taint. And I also have it where it looks like a spaceship. It’s called the Perineum Falcon.”

Stewart, who was laughing so hard that he became nearly silent, had to turn away from the fist-pumping Rudd as he took a moment to regroup before continuing their chat. “I do hope you get that checked out,” Stewart said, still laughing.

The pair then turned their conversation to the absurdity of some of the side effects of modern drugs, like an inflamed perineum. “Paul, I’m gonna be honest with you. I didn’t even know you still did movies,” Stewart said. “I thought you were a WebMD doctor and I just brought you out here to talk strictly medicines.”

Rudd acknowledged that these types of medical commercials are so commonplace that he and his daughter made up a game in which they’d take turns naming one for each letter of the alphabet. “My daughter would be 4 years old, we would do it with medicines. She’d be like, ‘Abilify!’ And I swear to god, we could make it through the entire alphabet,” he said. “Normally, you skip ‘x,’ but she’s, ‘Xeljanz!’ Not a bit! That’s really true! Xanax didn’t even make the cut!”

They then discussed the medications they had in their homes growing up. “I had St. Joseph’s Children Aspirin and I was 17 and had chlamydia,” Stewart teased. Rudd, in turn, shot back, “But, how was your perineum? Gorgeous!”

“As Rihanna would say: shine like a diamond,” Stewart teased, putting his head in his hands. “You could eat off that thing! And, boy, did I try!” Rudd chimed in, "We all tried!"
