Kristen Bell is seeing a TV resurgence at the moment, thanks to starring in the hit Netflix series Nobody Wants This. But when she's not busy working as an actress, she's flexing her incredible taste in fashion... and easy hacks for achieving a flawless makeup look.
Back in June 2024, the Frozen star found herself as one of the guests for Ben Platt's three-week concert residency at the Palace Theatre in New York City. The two previously worked together in the 2022 film The People We Hate at the Wedding, and they collaborated on stage to sing a mashup of songs from Carole King and James Taylor. While the performance certainly had folks commenting, it was her hair and makeup that caught the eye of many.
For the look, Kristen took an all-natural approach for her complexion. With rosy cheeks and just enough coverage to make it look like she wasn't wearing anything at all, the Veronica Mars alum's makeup was perfect for either an all-day or all-night look. So, what product was she using for the performance? Well, her makeup artist Quinn Murphy revealed Kristen was wearing none other than Merit Beauty's The Minimalist Perfecting Complexion Foundation and Concealer Stick in the shade Bisque.
The Minimalist Perfecting Complexion Stick
Priced at just $38, the foundation is sold at Sephora and on Merit's official website. The site's description says Merit's The Minimalist has a natural finish, which is perfect for someone who wants to go for the no-makeup makeup look on the go. And if that wasn't enough, the product is also labeled as fragrance free, which is ideal for those who suffer from sensitive skin and want something to help with covering redness or other ailments.
What's more, fans seem to love Merit's foundation stick as much as Kristen does. "I have no skills when it comes to makeup and the brushes and blenders that are used along with the makeup. This is an amazing product and no tools required," one Sephora reviewer wrote. "I get so many compliments since I've switched to Merit!!" another shopper added.
