Now that we've flipped the calendar to December, the countdown is on! And, no, we're not talking about Christmas (but we're eagerly anticipating that too). But, for now, our calendars are marked for December 19 and the return of Virgin River.
The Netflix drama is making its return for season 6, and, judging by the trailer, fans are in for some serious excitement in the form of Mel and Jack's wedding. But that's not all we can expect. This is the official logline from Netflix: "Against the backdrop of Mel and Jack’s romantic spring wedding season, this sixth installment promises fresh twists and turns, escalating love triangles, delightful wedding drama, as well as uncovered secrets from Mel’s father’s past which will transport us to the magic and mystique of Virgin River in the 1970s."
While we expect the long-awaited wedding to take center stage, fans hoping to see Brie and Brady back together are likely intrigued by the "escalating love triangles" tease! If you need a refresher, Brie broke up with Brady and began dating the more stable Mike in season 5.
Ben Hollingsworth, who stars as Brady, gave fans a sneak peek at filming a season 6 episode. And while Brie is no where to be seen, fans are excited to see Brady donning a volunteer fire fighter uniform on what looks to be a rescue mission. Commenters left messages like, "imagine when Brie sees Brady working as a firefighter? 🔥🔥🔥🔥," "Caaaaaaaan’t wait!!🔥" and "Brady as a firefighter?????🔥🔥😍😍😍 i’m excited to view now!!!!!"
If that's not enough, Ben shared another tease with fans in the form of a selfie from Netflix HQ, where the Virgin River writers are hard at work on season 7. He wrote, "I heard some stuff but can’t 🤐 except it’s🔥."
We'll have to wait until December 19 to see just what he's up to, but it's safe to say we're officially fired up!
